Recommended Reading Lists Illinois State Library
The short, themed reading lists provided below have been compiled by staff members at the State Library's Talking Book and Braille Service (TBBS). With subjects drawn from patron demand and current events, these lists are designed to enhance the leisure or serious reading experience by highlighting specific resources available in the library’s collection. This page will be updated periodically to include new lists, and to ensure the recommended titles they contain are timely and relevant.
Both braille and audio titles can be downloaded from the NLS Braille and Audio Reading Download (BARD) website, or requested from TBBS. For more information about our Readers' Advisory services, please call 800−665−5576, ext. 1 (Illinois residents only).
